Mark
S. Mazanek
Senior Associate
Mark S. Mazanek’s efforts are concentrated in the areas
of international energy, mining, manufacturing and technology
development, and the financing of related project transactions.
Additionally, he is involved with commodity trading in each
of these respective areas.
Mr.
Mazanek is a co-founder and former chief operating officer of
an international project finance development company, which
specialized in the development of large, capital intensive,
manufacturing projects. These projects utilized patented, leading
edge, high temperature processing, and plasma technology. He
is recognized as one of the world’s pioneers in the development
and commercialization of high-power industrial plasma technology.
Mr.
Mazanek was instrumental in developing and closing on a strategic
financing partnership with one of the world’s largest
New York based financial institutions. As part of this relationship
the institution provided equity development funding through
its equity subsidiary, and provided senior debt financing through
it’s financing arm. He lead all development efforts which
resulted in closing on over $45 million of senior debt and contingent
equity for a standalone processing facility. He is a highly
skilled negotiator specializing in complex financial and legal
transactions.
Mr.
Mazanek’s prior professional experience involved various
positions in heavy industry in operating, commercial (marketing
and sales), engineering and financial capacities. He holds a
bachelor of science degree in metallurgy, and is a named inventor
on three U.S. manufacturing process patents.
He
serves as a director on the board of an international industrial
services company, based in Shanghai, China, which operates exclusively
in the Far East. Mr. Mazanek also serves on the boards of two
non-profit entities, and is a longstanding member of the scholarship
committee of a local educational foundation.
Mark
Mazanek and his wife and children reside in the metropolitan
Philadelphia area.
